Crew Weight
PHRF-NE offers race organizers the option of using crew weight limits in their races. Usually only the more significant regattas would use these limits. To be used, the Sailing Instructions must contain these limits.
These limits were forced on us by a few selfish owners. They are based on 180 pounds per person of a crew that would normally fit on a boat of a certain length.
