One of the oldest distance races held in New England, the NBYC Whaler's Race offers a choice of short and long courses (76nm and 103nm), fully crewed and double handed, Spinnaker and Cruising Classes, and a 25 and Under class for young mariners looking to ply their skills on the high seas! Multihulls welcome!

The courses are set to navigate Buzzards Bay, Vineyard Sound, Rhode Island Sound and the open waters surrounding Block Island. The early June date kicks off the distance race season in Southern New England and can be used as a great warm up to upcoming ocean races such as Newport/Bermuda, Marion Bermuda, Marblehead/Halifax, or to simply get a great shakedown for your boat and crew!
