2005 PHRF New England Championships
107 yachts registered for the event. They came from both ends of the PHRF of New England area; Buzzard's Bay to the Gulf of Maine.
Friday:
Lines 1 and 2 (Classes 6 and 7 only) got in three races today. The wind started out as a light southwestly. As the day wore on the wind backed until it was a southeasterly seabreeze. The wind built to about 10 knots.

Saturday:
Another day of light (5 to 10 knot) southeasterly winds that tended to back as the day wore on. Classes 1 though 7 sailed two races today while Classes 8 and 9 and CR1 to CR3 sailed three races today.

Sunday:
A fabulous day for racing with 12 to 18 knot winds out of the south-southeast.
Race 7
Race 8 Only Classes 8 and 9 and CR1 to CR3 sailed a second race today.
Series Summary
The Fleet Trophy was won by the Marblehead Fleet. Each fleet selects three boats whose overall standings are added to determine the winner.
The West Marine Best Performance Trophy was won by Frank McNamara with his J24 Zot. This is given to the winner of the class that had the closest racing at the top of the class. In this case this was Class 8.
