MacGregor 26 Variants

The MacGregor 26 has water ballast to make the boat lighter for trailing. Initially, the boat came out in 1987 with a drop keel. It was later modified, in 1990, to a swing keel. These are sometimes collectively called the 26C.

.In 1995 a new 26 X came out that  featured the ability to handle an outboard motor powerful enough so that the boat could plane under power.

In 2003 a new 26 M was introduced which had a more Vee shaped hull. It reverted to the daggar board configuration
